Chanel set to release a collection of mini bags

Coco Chanel was one of the most forward thinking icons within the fashion world at the turn of the 20th century.  Living ontop of her little shop, Coco Chanel dreamed of a future where she would see her bags and clothing adorning the rich and famous. What she didnt realise was her brand was set to become one of the most illustrious and sought after brands to ever integrate into the high fashion industry. Her hand quilted patterned bag and intertwining CC logo have been the most identifiable features and set up Chanel to really be the creme del la creme of the luxury industry.  But it is Chanel's announcement of their newest limited edition release that really has tongues wagging.  Chanel website  for more  Opening a box can be a decision on pandoras scale, Opening a box with Chanel's features emblazoned - the decision is already made.  What to expect, from Chanels limted edition box set is 4 mini bags that best represent Chanel. The case itself speaks volum...

Louis vuitton digital pre-launch

Louis Vuitton is extending their pre-launch party to a virtual audience, and i am in love. With a new pallet of seasonal colours, Louis Vuitton has new styles of the Dauphine (Pictured) in the original monogram canvas along with a wide array of colours.  The new edit also includes the new bad made famous by many instagram influencers, the LV point 9. This design has really changed the way LV is perceived by the younger generation, with a more milder toned bag without the canvas print, this new LV point 9 is a leather only bag with a large LV Logo. But my favourite new bag that has been added to the LV family is montosouris backpack, available in 3 absolutely stunning colours, dark grey brown (Tourterelle), white(creme) and black(noir).  This new backpacks will set you back a pretty penny, the online exclusive cost $3900. With the fashion house reinterpreting the 1994 iconic montsouris backpack - a golden buckle, playful yet subtle LV charm and leather interior the iconic membe...

Gucci - off the grid

In the last decade reusable materials have really been the focus of many within the fashion landscape. With Ralph Lauren pioneering this incentive by  introducing the 'Earth polo' incentive which has removed nearly 8 million bottles from the ocean, and recycled them into shirts. Gucci has officially jumped on this bandwagon with their newest collection, 'The sustainable collection'. Personally, i am really impressed with high fashion labels doing their best to really emphasis the global issue of recycling. The incentive by Ralph Polo was a real game changer in this landscape.  It was this driving force that really changed Gucci's new collection 'bringing positive change in order so secure our collective future'. The new collection is titled Gucci equilibrium - and it is their commitment to generate positive change for people and our planet. With a low key feel to each new piece created and in hughes of burnt organge, black and yellow this new collection comp...

Dior proves COVID doesn't stop fashion

As this week marks arguably one of the most important weeks in the couture calendar, there is a tinge of sadness in the air. With current constraints the idea of hundreds of people cramped into convention centres and buildings was an unfathomable possibility. With usual catwalk shows on hold due to social distancing measures and  ateliers undergoing closures for periods of time, designers have been scrambling to adapt to this new modern world.  Enter digital fashion shows that not only showcase the most expensive fashion in the world, but also completely innovating the idea of brings couture for the masses.  Dior was the first notable couture company that dazzled the masses with their first ever fashion show. While it may seem strange for most to be watching the likes if designer Maria Grazia Chirui, completely wow the greater population with her latest collection. I for one loved this new idea, because someone like me, who isn't a fashion model, influencer of notable nam...

How to care for you rockstud and rockstud spike bag.

Do you have a Valentino handbag?  For me the distinctive pyramid spikes on a bag are associated with the brand Valentino. It is hard not to watch someone walking by with a rectangular bag and not say to yourself 'That is a Valentino'.  But the most iconic part that identifies Valentino can also cause some serious injury to your most treasured item. Is it just the nature of the beast? do you just tell yourself, don't worry it's on the flap no one will see it. Or that it only happens to people who don't take care of their bag. Or is this something that has turned you off buying rockstud bags all together?  My Fashiontine lovers, never fear, i am here to provide you with a fool proof way of saving your rockstud and rockstud spike bag from falling victim to unsuspecting imprints. You see, before i learnt this hack, my own bags fell victim to this and i want to show you how easy it is to prevent further damage, and prevent any damage at all for your bags.  It is very eas...

Valentino summer collection has me pottering the future

Valentino’s summer collection can be thought of as nothing but inspiring. With its soft silhouette pallet and heavy influences from Dutch potter motifs the soft pallet of this new collection are stunning to say the least.  The different Hughes of cerulean blue mixed with optic white, has my mind racing to the gorgeous Mykonos coast line. This collection comprises of  Stunningly light day dresses and skirts that fit seamlessly into any Mediterranean coast resort, and shift harmoniously into night time couture.  I love this colour pallet, it’s so fresh and vibrant and it really breathes light and airy. Perfect for the hot summer ahead. It really takes the term “I found love in Mykonos” to a whole new level. With delicate blue orchids, peacock feathers and various different flowers from ancient pottery vase print, it’s easy to fall in love with the stunning print that encapsulates this collection.  Whilst this collection does remind me slightly of my grandmothers China ...

Bottega effect or be squared

One of the biggest trends to his this fall fashion season is square toed shoes. Dubbed the Bottega effect, the name sake brand has been the pioneer in introducing square toed shoes for women. With its iconic interlaced shoe pattern featured on the shoes of some of instagrams most famous, and consequently the shoe selling out within weeks of debut, it no wonder why the new shoe on the block has literally squared away the competition. With it's 90 inspired minimalism, these thick clean elegant looking shoe - isn't one just for the 'gram as many women and men now done this newly inspired style for their daily 9-5 chic office look. But why do you think these shoes have skyrocketed the somewhat flailing brand into the fashion stratosphere? For one, the square toe helps offers heaps of room for your little tootsies. I know the struggle is real for me in pointed toed shoes, because it feels like i literally only have two toes and the other three need to somehow stack behind the tw...

A season-less movement for Luxury big names

The start of a new season signals to ever die heart fashionista of a whole new plethora of clothing, handbags, jewellery and shoes to add to our collection. I love watching the new season reveals, streaming fashion runways, perusing the new collection on the computer and watching influencers don the latest by my favourites. Seeing what direction the designer is taking the brand for the next few months, the colours, the contrasting shapes and the innovative creative takes on already staple items, are highlights for seasonal releases.  So i can say that i was shocked to hear Gucci's creative director, Alessandro Michele announce in an instagram statement that the multi billion dollar fashion brand has decided to, 'abandon the worn-out ritual of seasonalities and shows to regain a new cadence'. For me, Seasonalities were the staple behind luxury designer brands showcasing the newest creation and collection that adapts to the season at hand. However, being an Australian, the...
