pastels or mistel? Gucci pre fall 2020

Pre- fall 2020. Luxury designers scramble to release their latest fashion master pieces.

Gucci - pre-fall, the excitement was felt amongst the millenial generation as they cued in front of the marble doors awaiting to see the latest.  It's no secret in the last 10 years Gucci has lead the charge in the most sought after designer brand, especially among the millennial generation. if i'm not mistaken it was part of the reason the saying 'It's all Gucci' cottoned on and became the newest slang term to describe when things going well.

Let's not forget the Gucci slides, that have been on everyone's wish list, since the brand targeted the younger generation.

With the introduction of the new collection, Gucci diversified itself from the luxury market. With the introduction of pastel colours that add a light hearted feel to the newest collection, medling in with the tradition tan printed Gucci logo.

I am really enjoy the original print that gucci is so accustomed to, i find the addition of pastel colours into the collection to bring a breath of fresh younger air into a colour palette that can sometimes seem to staple and almost bland.

With the addition of pastel flavoured clothing and shoes, this collection is one that sure to have the millennial faithfuls continuing to line up in the hallowed glass doors of Gucci.

Vivrelle - game changer in the luxury retail market

I like many of you love fashion, but staying relevant in fashion can be really hard. From Valentino to Chanel and Celine to Prada, the seasons are bustling with new statement pieces that i want in my closet.  But fashion, especially luxury fashion can be such an expensive endeavour to keep up with. And with most of my paycheck going towards one bag, it can be very difficult to be constantly updating and changing my wardrobe. While most of us look at posts from high fashion influencers like Chiara Ferragni and Jessica Stein, and their ever evolving wardrobe of luxury handbags and fantasise about what new bag to add to our collection. They change bags weekly and move onto a different brand, size and colour, making it difficult to emulate these fashion icons. I love buying a new bag, the smell of new leather and the feeling of peeling the little plastic away from the clasp (is probably my favourite part) no matter the brand, size or colour i find it just as exciting no matter whic...

COVID impact on luxury

2020 has been one giant... i'm just going to say it Cluster duck of a year. But from trial comes triumph, with some companies absolutely flourishing and some gurgling down the toilet. The unfortunate need for companies to pivot, has left some with no choice but to close down. From fashion shows being streamed online, and shop closures. Luxury has relied heavily on their online presence to continue their revenue and trading through the pandemic. With many economist predicting an economic down turn, decrease in sales and all round shrinkage in the luxury niche.  I am of the opinion that the luxury category was only minimally affected by this crisis, and i think the recent black Friday sales have proved that the desire for luxury items is well and truly alive and well. With Valentino nearly selling out of their sale items within the first 48 hours.  I know crazy right?! and Valentino wasn't the only luxury brand that experienced literal sell out crowds, with Dior, Balenciag...
