I love watching the new season reveals, streaming fashion runways, perusing the new collection on the computer and watching influencers don the latest by my favourites. Seeing what direction the designer is taking the brand for the next few months, the colours, the contrasting shapes and the innovative creative takes on already staple items, are highlights for seasonal releases. So i can say that i was shocked to hear Gucci's creative director, Alessandro Michele announce in an instagram statement that the multi billion dollar fashion brand has decided to, 'abandon the worn-out ritual of seasonalities and shows to regain a new cadence'.
