Current fashion trends from a professional stylist

It's no secret the home of fashion and style are the forefront of most fashionistas minds when it comes to September. Not just known for being the home of the 3 P's (that is pizza, pasta and pane or bread), Italy is the birth place of high fashion. From the high end labels to small boutique shops, it is a quote-unquote rule that Italian's know how to dress. But whether you are keeping up with the Kardashians or the Joneses, fashion especially on the high end scale moves rather quickly and you can become outdated in an instant.  I sat down with a professional stylists to see their views on the current ins and outs of what is trending in the fashion world. And spoiler, being stylish has never been cheaper than what it is right now.  From a professional stylist, the most current fashion trend is to accentuate your accessories. Yes! that is correct. You could be wearing a $10 plain top with jeans, but a paired with expensive high heels  or designer belt, and your whole ...

COVID impact on luxury

2020 has been one giant... i'm just going to say it Cluster duck of a year. But from trial comes triumph, with some companies absolutely flourishing and some gurgling down the toilet. The unfortunate need for companies to pivot, has left some with no choice but to close down. From fashion shows being streamed online, and shop closures. Luxury has relied heavily on their online presence to continue their revenue and trading through the pandemic. With many economist predicting an economic down turn, decrease in sales and all round shrinkage in the luxury niche.  I am of the opinion that the luxury category was only minimally affected by this crisis, and i think the recent black Friday sales have proved that the desire for luxury items is well and truly alive and well. With Valentino nearly selling out of their sale items within the first 48 hours.  I know crazy right?! and Valentino wasn't the only luxury brand that experienced literal sell out crowds, with Dior, Balenciag...

Louis Vuitton - really upping their game

Hello my fellow fashionistas,  Can i just say what we are all thinking. Louis Vuitton has really shown they are goals with their new releases. I think i added about 56 new things i need in my life - starting with the new introduction of woven patterned goods. Today i'm going to share with you my top 3 picks of bags in the new collection. how stunning is the pochette metise with this new woven pattern ? It also comes in an elegant burgundy and white. This new patter is now is all our favourite LV styles.  Ahh i honestly am falling in love with this bag with each breath i take. The next new design that i am absolutely  melting for is the Neonoe in this Coffee colour. The new concept behind the large monogram letters just adds a whole new level to the bag. The last one that is actually a new bag for LV Fold Tote PM . The versatility that this bag brings to the table is phenomenal.      It is easily a going out/ evening out bag folded in or even just a regular...

LV SS21 collection release

The new release of louis vuitton ss2 1 on October 7 has me seeings green. The spring inspired collection was the artistic genius of Nicholas Ghesquières. The stunning new pieces are shades of green. Keeping to the iconic monnogrammed LV theme the new designs are lifted adding to the collection of already stunning pieces. In yet another virtual show. The new way and safest way to showcase designers new looks.

Prada SS21

Prada has just released its newest SS21 collection - which is a first time collaboration with Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons. When i first saw this collection my thought was -YIKES. And i honestly dont say that lightly. What purple flying frogs were these two thinking when they put this collection together?  Nearly every single shirt has the most forbidding, obvious, grungy badge sewn into the neck of the top of the Prada tag. Like you need to literally show people you are wearing a designer label shirt? For me designer fashion should be recognised because of the style, material, cut and sheer elegance  of the clothing - not because there is a giant sign hanging from my neck telling the world this is couture.  The following items to grace the runway were just as cringe as the predecessors. The thin parkers that looked like Prada labelled straight jackets - tying up at the back. The jumpers with perfect circles cut ou t all over it, wasn't too bad. But it really remi...
