It's no secret the home of fashion and style are the forefront of most fashionistas minds when it comes to September. Not just known for being the home of the 3 P's (that is pizza, pasta and pane or bread), Italy is the birth place of high fashion. From the high end labels to small boutique shops, it is a quote-unquote rule that Italian's know how to dress.
But whether you are keeping up with the Kardashians or the Joneses, fashion especially on the high end scale moves rather quickly and you can become outdated in an instant.
I sat down with a professional stylists to see their views on the current ins and outs of what is trending in the fashion world. And spoiler, being stylish has never been cheaper than what it is right now.
From a professional stylist, the most current fashion trend is to accentuate your accessories. Yes! that is correct. You could be wearing a $10 plain top with jeans, but a paired with expensive high heels or designer belt, and your whole outfit is suddenly elevated to a new status. Not to mention the idea behind accentuating is to showcase one expensive item. That means that you no longer need to be decked out head to toe in expensive clothing to 'look rich', no a few items spread here and there throughout your closet, dressed well, will automatically draw peoples attention and elevate your entire wardrobe.
Just like here, the star of this outfit is clearly the Valentino belt, with this giant V logo it draws the eye of anyone. For us savvy conscious spenders who cant afford to constantly be changing and updating our wardrobe this new trend is a much needed and welcomed reprieve. Not only for us being able to now show our individual pieces and letting them be the star of our show, but also because it means we now get more bang for our buck when buying designer. No more do you now need to bypass the smaller items for fear of no one noticing, now they become the centre piece of your show.
So lets open up our vaults and dust off our belts, bags, heels and clutches, because trending fashion just became ... dare i say affordable?
