fluro season

The arrival of Valentinos new collection drop has ever designer lover

foaming at the mouth to see what creative genus Pierpaolo Piccolo has delighted us with for the Spring/Summer 2020 collection.

I was jittery. I was antsy. What new bag would i be adding to my Absolutely need to buy or my brain will capitulate if i don't have.

Then the collection launched.

I will admit i was utterly shocked. The new collection encompassed bright fluro colours. Yellows, Oranges, Greens, Pinks and Blues. I had some serious 80s vibes. Don't get me wrong i think everyone admits that the 80s were without a doubt the best decade in the last  50 years. I wasn't even born in the 80's yet i still admit how great of a decade it was.

The more i looked at the collection, the bright clothing and belts. The more it felt like Summer. Like proper summer, sitting on a yacht in the middle of the Mediterranean eating a pasta lunch, and slowly ever so slowly i began to fall in love with the collection.

The summer vibes coming off this collection make it iconic. And i don't use those words lightly. Anyone who wears this collection will be instantly noticed.

Now i can understand if you think these colours may be too bright! To be honest i thought the same thing too, but i tried it on and realised that they are so interchangeable and diverse unlike any other designer bag out at the moment. I actually fell in love with the brightest colour, Yellow.

The traditional Rockstud design has been delicately transformed into a modern icon with brilliant huges of vibrant colours that scream Summer. I love this new collection and i can happily say i have put a new bag on my shelf.

Another fantastic season created by Valentino!

I will be here designer dreaming of the next collection.

Vivrelle - game changer in the luxury retail market

I like many of you love fashion, but staying relevant in fashion can be really hard. From Valentino to Chanel and Celine to Prada, the seasons are bustling with new statement pieces that i want in my closet.  But fashion, especially luxury fashion can be such an expensive endeavour to keep up with. And with most of my paycheck going towards one bag, it can be very difficult to be constantly updating and changing my wardrobe. While most of us look at posts from high fashion influencers like Chiara Ferragni and Jessica Stein, and their ever evolving wardrobe of luxury handbags and fantasise about what new bag to add to our collection. They change bags weekly and move onto a different brand, size and colour, making it difficult to emulate these fashion icons. I love buying a new bag, the smell of new leather and the feeling of peeling the little plastic away from the clasp (is probably my favourite part) no matter the brand, size or colour i find it just as exciting no matter whic...

COVID impact on luxury

2020 has been one giant... i'm just going to say it Cluster duck of a year. But from trial comes triumph, with some companies absolutely flourishing and some gurgling down the toilet. The unfortunate need for companies to pivot, has left some with no choice but to close down. From fashion shows being streamed online, and shop closures. Luxury has relied heavily on their online presence to continue their revenue and trading through the pandemic. With many economist predicting an economic down turn, decrease in sales and all round shrinkage in the luxury niche.  I am of the opinion that the luxury category was only minimally affected by this crisis, and i think the recent black Friday sales have proved that the desire for luxury items is well and truly alive and well. With Valentino nearly selling out of their sale items within the first 48 hours.  I know crazy right?! and Valentino wasn't the only luxury brand that experienced literal sell out crowds, with Dior, Balenciag...
